You will be an essential part of this team, enhancing your skills by working on a wide range of responsibilities such as 1st line IT Support, building and fixing hardware, installing software, maintaining IT stock levels and so much more to turn you into an IT wizz!

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 IT Support Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

 

A Typical Day in the Job:

 

  • 1st Line support through the IT Helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Building PCs, setting up Laptops & Repairing PCs and Laptops
  • Pre-delivery preparation of servers/infrastructure equipment and controlling stock of all IT equipment.
  • Dealing with software issues e.g. installation and upgrade.
  • Keeping up to date with any training and learning logs.
  • Dealing with third parties to arrange external repairs and tracking documentation.
  • Keep up-to-date notes on the work completed through the helpdesk.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

 

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £14,625 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 9am – 5:30pm
  • 20 days holidays plus bank holidays
  • Social events
  • Onsite parking

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Grade 4 in Maths and 5 in English is essential for this role
  • Good communication skills
  • Proactive and eager to learn
  • Good knowledge of IT systems and support
  • Professional and courteous
  • Comfortable with all aspects of customer service (face-to-face, phone and email)
