Roles and Responsibilities (Will include but not limited to):

• Work to service level agreements and business deadlines

• Work towards high quality customer service skills

• Ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised on occasion

• Ability to apply a calm and considered approach to support calls/incidents

• Ensure adherence to all ITPS policies including ISO security and quality policies in accordance with the role

• Ensure where necessary support calls/incidents are escalated to the 2nd line helpdesk analysts and or helpdesk team leader

• Escalate hardware calls/incidents and on-site engineer visit requests to the Helpdesk coordinator

• Ensure 1st time fixes where necessary See full document attached to account

• Answer telephone calls/emails professionally and promptly

Full training to be provided by Baltic Apprenticeships and ITPS.

Desired qualities, skills and knowledge:

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Interest in and some knowledge/exposure to IT such as building/owning PC or assisting
  • family members or friends with their IT needs
  • Willingness to follow instructions and carry out all duties required of the role
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Driving licence to drive to Fire Stations around the County Durham and Darlington region
  • Minimum grading of C/4 or above in Math's and 5 in English

Salary Hours and Benefits:

  • £18,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 8:30am till 5:00pm
  • 27 days annual leave
  • Annual pay review
  • Hybrid/flexible working

  • Enhanced maternity leave
  • A clearly defined training and progression plan

There are career progression opportunities available upon completion of the program. You, along with your employer, may decide to progress into a full-time position with the business or progress onto a Level 4 Apprenticeship.
