In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 IT Support Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

 

A Typical Day in the Job:

 

  • Provide 1st line technical support to all staff in the first instance by phone or email
  • Perform password resets, creating and implementing group policies, multi factor authentication, anti-virus config & encryption
  • Answering incoming calls for all 1st line IT issues
  • Produce any follow up actions and escalate as necessary within the business
  • To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles and SLAs
  • Maintain client network architecture by setting up routers and servers, and also monitoring network speed & performance via IP Scanner & ninjaOne
  • Maintain a log of any software or hardware problems detected on Halo
  • Install & Configure a range of software components using Microsoft Portals to ensure all software is set up to the clients requirements – I.e. office, 365
  • Using Halo Ticketing system to escalate tasks, log tasks, communicate and maintain full documentation
  • Hardware installation could be setting up a new laptop for a new user and/or assigning RAM virtually.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

 

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £14,000 – £18,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, after probation can work 8am – 4pm
  • 21 days holidays plus bank holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Grade 4 in Maths and 5 in English is essential for this role
  • Passion for IT
  • Good communicator
  • Fairly local to office
  • Good problem-solving skills
