Are you passionate about technology and eager to embark on a rewarding career in IT? YMCA East Surrey is seeking a dynamic individual to join the team as an IT Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and training in a supportive environment while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

In this role, you’ll work towards your IT Support Technician Level 3 apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

·        Providing 1st line support through the ticketing system, phone calls and emails

·        Completing password resets, software and hardware updates and new user set ups

·        Installing hardware components and diagnosing performance issues

·        Carry out on site repairs when needed

·        Installing and configuring software such as outlook emails and internal systems

·        Any other duties are required to be performed within the grade and renumeration of the role

·        They are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults. This role will require an enhanced DBS disclosure. They require you to understand and demonstrate this commitment and attend any required training

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

·        £15,000 per annum

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

·        Passion for IT

·        Ability to communicate

·        Ability to work as a team

·        Committed to learning

·        Driver is required

·        Grade 4/C in Maths and 5/C in English GCSE

·        Subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS disclosure (mandatory)

·        Commitment to the values, aims and mission of YMCA East Surrey

Your Training with Baltic:

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an IT Support Technician.
