The Role:

Being a part of one of the UK’s leading apprenticeship training providers, you’ll play a pivotal role in promoting our apprenticeship training programmes, and educating organisations on the endless benefits of growing their business through apprentices, as well as upskilling their existing workforce through our training opportunities.

Your primary objective will be to drive sales growth and expand our client base within our Software Development Apprenticeships Routeway.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential clients that could benefit from our apprenticeship programmes
  • Use various methods, such as email, content sharing, social media, and online research to create initial interest
  • Build and manage a consistent pipeline of relevant software opportunities with new business
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies, and work collaboratively with our marketing team to refine our message and approach
  • Assess and understand a prospect’s current requirements and suggest tailored solutions to meet their needs
  • and promote the value and benefits of our apprenticeship programs to prospective clients
  • Be responsible for meeting and exceeding pre-defined revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Track and analyse your performance, plus maintain accurate records of all sales activities using our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Stay updated on industry trends and understand market demands to tailor our offerings

Essential Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a B2B sales role
  • Genuine interest in software, technology and digital skills
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Consultative selling approach and a customer-first sales mindset
  • Previously engaged with senior level decision makers

Essential Skills:

  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
  • Easily demonstrate initiative, creativity and ability to think outside the box
  • Openness to embracing new strategies and adapting to new approaches to ensure consistent results
  • Receptive to feedback, demonstrating awareness and ownership of professional development
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Being able to promote the benefits of a product and setting urgency to customers
  • Highly resilient

Desirable Experience:

  • Managing and updating CRM systems, preferably knowledge of Salesforce
  • Using sales automation tools such as Salesloft, Apollo.io or RevenueGrid as a lead generation tool
  • Utilising LinkedIn and social selling strategies to support sales approach and generate leads
  • Experience in a software house or exposure to software development teams in a previous role
