Baltic Apprenticeships are committed to delivering an impactful apprenticeship curriculum that reflects current trends across the tech and digital sector. In short, we want our apprenticeship programmes to be at the forefront of industry needs.

To help us achieve this, we’ve appointed an advisory board of key players in the tech and digital industry who provide high level intellectual and strategic guidance to our team.

Members of the board will play a leading role in shaping the future of our apprenticeship curriculum, ensuring our learners receive the highest quality training experience to set them up for a long, successful and rewarding career in tech.

To improve all areas of our curriculum, the advisory board is split into four key areas that reflect our apprenticeship offering: IT, Digital Marketing, Software Development & Data Analysis.

Representatives are either a customer of Baltic Apprenticeships, from a tech and digital business or from an organisation that employs people in the occupations aligned with Baltic’s apprenticeship offering.

To help us improve our service for each one of our customers and apprentices, board members come from organisations of all sizes.

All members of the Advisory Board participate in their personal capacity; however, the board holds mandatory meetings with our senior management team every 6 months to provide invaluable feedback on Baltic’s current apprenticeship curriculum and overall learner experience.

Robert George joined our board in April 2022, his role is to scrutinise our strategy, policy and plans - providing invaluable feedback and constructive challenge.

Rob has worked in the Further Education sector for over 20 years and has particular experience with tech apprenticeships. Rob has led negotiations with government funding agencies including the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

In 2012, Rob launched his own company, RGFE. He works primarily with private training providers, helping them manage their government funding contracts and provides strategic advice that aligns with current and future government policies.

Having started his career as an apprentice in the Merchant Navy, Rob is extremely passionate about the apprenticeship scheme and believes they offer a better alternative to traditional education routes.

This passion for apprenticeships is at the heart of our organisation, so we’re thrilled to be welcoming Rob to our Board of Directors!

We're always looking for people who are passionate about apprenticeships to join our advisory board. If you have experience in the tech and digital sector and want to play a part in shaping our curriculum, we want to hear from you!
