Digital Short Courses

Our short courses are for people aged 19+ with an interest in starting a digital career. If you’re unemployed, in part-time or temporary work, wanting to change careers, or looking get started in this exciting sector, our programmes offer expert training and personal support to help you start your dream career.

As our courses are funded through a range of sources, including government and local authority grants, some courses are restricted to specific geographical areas. Please see the individual course pages for further information.

Our short courses are an excellent way to dive into a new career path, building an understanding of the industry alongside key skills that employers look for. While some courses deliver a supercharged package of skills over a single week, others include up to 8 weeks of expert training and support.

Our short courses deliver a taster of your chosen industry and can help you develop essential skills for your CV, whilst demonstrating your commitment for future employers.

While our short courses won’t give you everything you need to start working in your dream job right away, we offer an accessible route into your chosen career through digital and tech apprenticeships.

An apprenticeship is a full-time job with a recognised qualification built-in. If you choose to progress onto an apprenticeship programme, our team will work with you to provide personal support and connect you with established apprentice employers in your local area to help match you to an exciting role.

Short courses are sometimes called “pre-apprenticeship programmes” as they are a great way to prepare for an apprenticeship programme and hit the ground running on your training.
