Freya Maclachlan - Woman in Tech at Aviva

Topic

[Apprentice]

"I think it's incredibly important that more women get into tech, specifically software development, because without women like Grace Hopper and Ada Lovelace, we wouldn't have the programming languages like we know today. I know it's something that companies are pushing for, but there still needs to be a lot more done."

Freya MacLachlan is a front end developer at Aviva, and the first Baltic Apprenticeships apprentice to pass with the New Apprenticeship Standards. We spoke to her about her experience as a woman in tech, as well as how she passed the End Point Assessment with a distinction.
