[Trainers and Assessors]

I landed at Baltic after coming from a position working as an Office and Events Executive. Within that role I managed everything from email marketing, social media, PR, websites and events. I once planned an event at the House of Commons. Unfortunately, the contract ended and I was made redundant. I have also worked freelance and have retail experience from a position at JJB Sports.

I have a BA Hons degree in Web and Multimedia design which looked at literally all things digital from E-commerce, Photography, Videography and web design along with A-levels in Art, Media and Law.

I also hold a COLF (Certified Online Learning Facilitator) qualification and along with all of the qualifications that our apprentices undertake.

Working at Baltic

I have been with Baltic since September 2013 starting as a Co-ordinator. I then moved into assessment shortly after and then into training in 2014.

My role is Senior Digital Marketing Trainer and I am responsible for course delivery, updating materials, learner support and everything in between digital marketing training related.

The engagement with the learners is the absolute best part of this job. They make it for me! It’s great to hear when they’ve gone on to pass exams and been promoted in their workplace. A lot of them keep in touch and let me know too! In terms of marketing, I absolutely love how creative it is, you run with ideas and come up with as much stuff as possible! Secretly love creating websites and email newsletters too!

One of my favourite memories was being announced ‘trainer of the year’ the first year that it was ran, which is decided by our learner feedback.

The role has changed dramatically since I started, all learning was face to face back then and we delivered different apprenticeships. The business has grown so much in that time too!

#1 Item on Bucket List

To travel America in a huge RV to see as much as physically possible! The bigger the RV the better, I want one like on Runaway Vacation!

Interesting Fact

I used to coach cheer-leading for a local community team. Cheerleaders were aged 3 upwards and have placed first at a range of national competitions.

Greatest Achievement

Apart from the obvious one of having my daughter, I am extremely proud to be part of the development team at City and Guilds that built the Digital Marketer standards. I helped develop the units and testing documentation.

Hobbies and Interests

I love to travel, although I don’t get to do it as frequently as I’d like. I also enjoy activities such a trampolining, zip lining (Baltic Bounce was fab!) and have a not so secret love of all things Harry Potter!
