I started working for Baltic as I was a contractor at a Nuclear Power Plant which was planning decommission so needed a more permanent role. The Management Information Officer role at Baltic was advertised online so I went for it!
I left comprehensive school in 2005 with all GCSEs and went onto do A-Levels at New Durham College in Law, Psychology and Sociology.
In my most recent role I was a Data Analyst at Hartlepool Power Station. Prior to that I was a Performance and Insight Analyst for a South East based Housing Association but most of my employment life was spent at Arriva PLC as a Fraud Intelligence Analyst and Systems Specialist.
Having 10 years experience in Data Analytics has helped me gain advanced Excel skills and knowledge in Business Intelligence models.
I started working for Baltic on the 2nd January 2019 although it feels a lot longer.
My responsibilities as a Management Information Officer are to lead on any internal system developments and to maintain and produce a suite of weekly and monthly management information reports. My main aim is to make reporting more simplistic and consistent and to gain insight into current performance based on raw data sources.
I love the project management side to new system developments such as gathering requirements from a working group, drafting up new screen proposals and writing technical specifications.
My favourite memory of the Baltic experience so far was being offered the job almost immediately after my interview!
My role has definitely grown since I started working for Baltic (in a good way). I prefer to be kept busy and I like that my skills can be put to good use across all departments.
To win the lottery!
My greatest and most selflessness achievement to date is the Voluntary Service I have done for Durham Constabulary.
I love spending time with family and friends outside of work. I am part of a big family and I have lots of godchildren so there is always something going on (I sound like a Walton). I'd be lying if I said I didn't love alcohol and food IS LIFE!!! I am an absolute crisp monster and there is no such thing as a "share bag"!
