I began working for Baltic after spending almost 7 years as a Literacy Intervention tutor at a Secondary School. This involved teaching teenagers who had difficulties with literacy to read and write.
I am currently in the final year of my degree at the Open University. I am studying I.T.
I have a range of qualifications from Education and Training to Supporting Teaching and Learning.
I left school at 15 with 10 GCSE’s and then went on to college to study IT. After a year I realised college wasn’t for me and I started working.
I am Baltic’s newest Junior Learning Mentor. I have only been with the company for a short time. When I was applying for jobs, Baltic really stood out to me. Their strong values and desire to always strive for the best are something that I was very impressed with and I wanted to be a part of it.
My role involves supporting a caseload of learners. My priority is ensuring they are making progress and that they have everything they need to allow them to succeed.
I am looking forward to growing within the company and being able to share my knowledge and skills with more learners in the future.
I have been lucky that I have been able to tick a lot of things off of my bucket list but I would love to visit India one day.
I relocated to the North East 12 years ago from Leicester by putting a pin in a map! I have been so lucky that this gamble paid off and I love it up here!
I am incredibly proud that I have been able to (almost) complete my degree whilst working full time and raising my 4 children!
I am an avid cook and like to create and test out new recipes…..they don’t always work out well however!
I.T is one of my biggest passions, I love to learn new things and I like to keep up to date with the latest technology.
In my spare time I enjoy walking with my dogs, reading and I’m a big Emmerdale fan!
