Our Coaches are a vital part of our training team. They are the friendly face and consistent contact for the duration of your apprenticeship programme. Every Baltic apprentice is assigned their very own Coach, who will work with you on a one-to-one basis and in small workshop groups.

How can a Programme Coach Support Your Apprenticeship?
Your programme Coach delivers your training and actively manages your apprenticeship journey, making sure that you can develop and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to get your qualification.
Your Coach will stay with your throughout your apprenticeship, delivering each block of technical training with your cohort of fellow learners. This way, your Coach can get to know you and your job role, and personalise their approach to make sure you get the most out of your apprenticeship.
Your Coach will guide you through the apprenticeship training and assessment process, setting your Workplace Projects, giving detailed feedback to strengthen your portfolio, and help you keep your Time Log for off-the-job training on track.
To put it simply, your Baltic programme Coach is there to make sure you have everything in place to succeed on your apprenticeship.
Each 1-1 session is personalised to you - your work, your goals, your needs. You'll be able to talk through key concepts, ask questions, and find ways to apply the knowledge from your technical training to your job role and Workplace Projects.
For your line manager, your Coach is a trusted partner - working with them to help you progress in your role and achieve your potential. Your Coach will check in with your manager regularly to help them support you in any upcoming assignments or projects.
When it comes to the End Point Assessment (EPA), your Coach will play a really important role in getting you ready for Gateway. Throughout your apprenticeship, they will be there to help you understand what the EPA is all about, what it will involve, and give you the skills and confidence you need to succeed.
How often will you meet your Coach?
You'll meet your Coach in the SMART Classroom for a training block every 6-8 weeks, and a personal review session every 12 weeks with you and your manager.
1-1 review sessions can include anything from setting up a new assignment, to working through feedback, going over your questions, and talking about soft-skills and wider career goals. Your Coach can also set up some targeted support for any areas you might be worried about during the apprenticeship.
Wellbeing Support: Your Coach and Beyond
If you ever need any extra support, your Coach should be your first port of call. Their role here is similar to that of a form tutor or pastoral support officer you might have come across in school. Your Coach is there to look out for you and your wellbeing, and can point you in the right direction for extra support.
As a Baltic apprentice, you will also have access to Headspace, a popular wellbeing app, and a confidential apprentice helpline, operated by Mindful Employer. You can use this line at any time to talk about any wellbeing problems you may be experiencing.
