[Employers, Data Analyst, Data Technician]

The power of data is undeniable. When used to its full potential, data generates insight, identifies inefficiency, and drives innovation. Demand for data analysts is growing. But the UK's data science sector is facing a skills crisis, with 86% of managers reporting difficulties hiring talent in this field.

To address this growing demand, Baltic Apprenticeships have launched two new data-focused apprenticeship programmes. This new training route aims to narrow the skills gap, create career opportunities, and empower employers to unlock the power of data.

Our Programmes: Level 3 Data Technician & Level 4 Data Analyst

Our new data apprenticeships include a Level 3 Data Technician programme and a Level 4 Data Analyst course:

Apprenticeships are a rigorous form of work-based professional development, and can be used to recruit and train new talent or to develop existing members of staff. At Baltic Apprenticeships, our programmes follow standards created in consultation with industry-leaders, including Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle and the NHS.

These two new apprenticeship programmes offer a real opportunity for businesses to grow their data analysis capacity and build a solid pipeline of future data talent in-house.

A Catalyst for Data Expertise

Baltic are a specialist provider of digital and IT apprenticeships. We're always learning from tech leaders and incorporating the latest thinking in tech into our training. We have co-located our Newcastle office in The Catalyst, a specialist data space that is also home to the National Innovation Centre for Data.

By building relationships with national experts on data, and seeing these innovative applications, visualisations, and processing tools first-hand, we are uniquely placed to bring a fresh perspective to our data apprenticeships.

Available Funding

These new data apprenticeship programmes are eligible for the government's apprentice employer incentive funding, meaning that employers can claim up to £3000 for each new apprentice until 31st January 2021. Depending on the size of your organisation, costs may be covered by your Apprenticeship Levy contributions. For smaller businesses, you may be eligible for additional funding covering up to 100% of training costs.
