[hall of fame]

Congratulations to Casey Whearity from Swipe & Tap for being named July's Apprentice of the Month! She will be receiving £50 in high street vouchers.

"Casey had only been here seven months but is valued as an exceptional developer and a core part of the team. She has a great sense of self-initiation, often fulfilling tasks before they have been assigned to her in a high and professional standard. Casey works well independently and can see tasks from start to finish without any help. Using her problem-solving skills, she often finds a better way to go about tasks to improve time efficiency and the quality of our products.

Working well in our team, Casey often attends client meetings and is able to voice her views on how projects might work and the barriers we may face. She is great at testing our apps and can spot bugs and snags at an impressive rate. We have just taken a new apprentice on board and Casey has been able to share what she has learnt in the past few months. She is setting an incredible example and is sure to be a role model for other apprentices.
This month, Casey has homed in on her skills as an avid writer and has written about her experience of her apprenticeship on our blog. We found it so inspirational to read and I'm sure you all will as well."

We would also like to say a big thank you to everyone that nominated, please see below!

I would like to nominate Luke for the apprentice of the month.  Luke has excelled since joining the team, his work ethic, determination and eagerness to learn is exemplary and its 100% genuine.  Luke is now 3 units into his studies and on each occasion, he has been named learner of the week.  This is something we are all really proud of.

The comments received from the tutors have been excellent and that level of enthusiasm is reflected in his day to day work.  His confidence has grown exponentially since joining the team and this is clearly shown in his dealing with customers and other members of staff.  He is keen to learn as much as he can, and he is already bringing in his knowledge from his units into the business and making improvements to processors and procedures.

Luke deals with customers daily and we have already received numerous commendations from customers for his service levels.

I am sure if you see the comments from his past three tutors you will agree this nomination is fully deserved.

I would like to Nominate David Ellitts for apprentice of the month. Since David joined the team he has slotted right in and is continuing to develop in to a valuable member of the team.

David has surprised us in how much information he retains and recently was assigned work to test his knowledge, skill and ability to follow instructions. This was a very tricky task with the importance on the device been setup correctly as it would be shipped to the customer and the network would be reliant on said device. If instructions were not followed then an engineer would have had to redo the work which to our surprise nothing needed to be redo as the work was followed to the letter and shipped out to the customer the same day.

Another important job that David has is the backup monitoring and logging. Basically most of our customers have a managed backup and if any issues are found our backup console with log an issue that David has to filter through and make sure that they are valid issues and that any he cannot fix are then escalated to a senior engineer. We implemented a change to the way we did this just as David started and as part of him learning to do this task he would have to complete an online course and then create a document on the backup process that any new member of staff could follow. Needless to say David passed the course, produced a comprehensive guide to the backup routine.

Saying all of the above the most impressive thing is how David is progressing on his apprenticeship along with how has integrated in to our Technical Support Team. The team is made up of Senior engineers and can be daunting to any new starter let alone an apprentice, however David gets in in a morning and form the first minute has his head down working which goes along way with the rest of the team.

Hopefully David will continue to progress at the same speed and become an excellent engineer that any company would be proud to have.

Jack has shown considerable dedication to his apprenticeship, to his career at Clever IT and continues to deliver excellence to our clients. Many of our clients praise him regularly for his great work and it is no surprise that the plaudits continue to come in from across our client base.

His ongoing efforts to deliver excellent service to our clients reflect well upon us as a business as well as on him as a valued member of our team and I am pleased with how Jack has developed through the apprenticeship scheme with Baltic.

Adam has been a constant enthusiastic team member since joining us. He is always prepared to go the extra mile for both our customers and his internal colleagues. He noticed a gap in some of our processes and unprompted took it upon himself to create some very detailed and brilliant reports that have now given me information I have not been able to get before – even via external developers. This information has been fundamentally key to give our customers and account managers important additional information they have never had before.

Whenever I challenge him with new tasks he is on it straight on it and grasps what is required immediately and always delivers exceptional work. As a very introvert person naturally he integrating into the team very well and coming out more and more with each week.

I just want to say very well done.

Joseph has been a real asset and some of the digital marketing he has completed has been amazing.

The way Joe has taken our vision and put this into marketing is brilliant and his assistance to the Marketing Exec is second to none we really couldn’t do without him.

He is always enthusiastic and the whole Team love him.  In addition his desire to learn is fabulous and just takes himself off to do his ‘learning’ and passing all the tests/exams – which he and the rest of the company are proud of.

I couldn’t think of a more deserving winner as he just a little star and this would be a great way to show our thanks and appreciation.

Caine came to us only three months ago and in that time he has exemplified what it means to be an apprentice. Whenever there is discussion around a task that needs completing he is the first one to offer up his time to complete it. If he isn’t able to due to skill or experience, he always asks to shadow the person who ends up actually doing the work. He always arrives on time, with a smile, and well presented. Caine always seems to go that extra mile no matter how small the job is. His trainer’s comments seem to back up his brilliant attitude towards work and learning.

Great job Caine!

It's mad to think that Dan has only been here a few months. He's an integral member of the team and fits in like he's been here for years. His affinity for film & photography means he brings a natural enthusiasm to the role and his positive outlook is reflected in the quality of his work.

Almost immediately Dan's eagerness to excel meant that within just a few days he was working in our studio, shooting multiple products over the course of a full day, unsupervised. This isn’t something that we would usually do but the quality of Dan’s work and his work rate made it an easy decision for us to make.

Dan works directly with Max, who is our more senior film & photography member of staff with over five years experience in the field. He speaks very highly of Dan and both Max and myself are very happy with Dan’s progress so far. He is producing work to a standard that is higher than would be expected from an apprentice who is not even half way through their training yet. There are now dozens of examples of his work memorialised across the web in the products that we have launched with his support.

Since joining the Internal IT team at Partnerize in October last year Jeevan has firmly established himself as a dependable, well respected member of the department.

He has taken an independent, reliable approach to all the tasks he has been assigned including:

  • Taking ownership of all anti-virus alerts and ensuring they are dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Setting up and maintaining all meeting room space equipment across the entire office. This included creating a process documenting all tasks involved in the daily check of these spaces.
  • Contributing several documents that are now used in our user facing knowledge base.
  • Conducting an equipment audit which was complex task requiring a lot of attention to detail.

As well as Jeevan’s day-to-day work, he has also made time for his studies. In his spare time, including his own lunch break on occasion, Jeevan can usually be found at his desk working though practice exams or going through notes he has taken during a training session.

Jeevan has demonstrated a level of maturity and good humour well beyond his years and as a result is very highly thought of by everyone at Partnerize.

We firmly believe that for all the reasons above Jeevan deserves recognition as Apprentice of the Month.
