Congratulations to Matthew Bainbridge from Word Nerds for being named August's Apprentice of the Month! He will be receiving £50 in high street vouchers.
"Matthew is, and always has been from day one from starting work with us, an outstanding apprentice and employee within his role as a developer. From time keeping, email etiquette, to his accountability for his own work and attitude; Matthew has always demonstrated exceptional professionalism and respect to his colleagues and working environment.
His work ethic, quality of work, willingness to learn, disposition to always help others and general blooming loveliness, makes him an asset to the development team and the company.
He has taken to the variety of work very well, and developed skills in managing his own workload, ensuring his work is checked by following the development team's processes, as well as adapting to the rapid pace at which work comes in, or priorities shift.
Following a disruptive and emotional transition from Daykin & Storey to Word Nerds, Matthew demonstrated professionalism, empathy and remained level headed and sensitive to the departing team members around him.
He has also demonstrated the ability to adjust to change, with the shift to new project management tools, work type and projects.
Matthew is a champion employee, and a fantastic apprentice."
We would also like to say a big thank you to everyone that nominated, please see below!
LIAM MURPHY FROM QUADRIS
In addition to studying for his Level 4 Network Engineer qualification, Liam has recently taken on additional responsibilities for managing 2 smaller customer accounts which sees him take sole responsibility for managing the day to day needs of his customers, and being the SME within his team for those 2 clients.
He is growing in confidence and will also now be the most senior member of his team, meaning he will also be supporting less experienced staff in addition.
This Is a great opportunity for Liam to work with Baltic, Quadris and his colleagues to make a really strong career for himself within Quadris and expand his IT knowledge, skills and experience.
Well done to him on his work so far, and we wish him every success as he grows and develops.
MATTHEW WATSON FROM OPEN ECX
Matthew is coming to the end of his apprenticeship and has developed massively since he first began at Open ECX, we would struggle without him.
This month we hired 3 new apprentices and Matthew has played a crucial part in training and welcoming the new members to the team.
Matthews patience and Dudelange hasn’t gone unnoticed. Matthew has demonstrated his knowledge of business integration and now is in the position to pass these skills on to new members of the team.
As we are a quite a small business, any help training up new starters being trained up is massively helpful to the business and myself.
I would like to especially highlight Matthew’s excellent work ethic and goes above and beyond to deliver accurate and quality service to our clients.
Matthew is truly a treasure to the business and not only goes down well with his dance moves on company nights out, but truly respects his colleagues and is always a pleasure to be around.
Matthew has grown his knowledge over the last year and has become a crucial member of the team. We look forward to working with Matthew for hopefully many more years.
BETH HALLIDAY FROM WIRELESS ECONOMICS
Beth is a fantastic member of our team, she is dedicated to both her job role and her course work in equal parts.
She is always punctual, ready to learn and manages her time very effectively. We do put a lot of pressure on Beth in terms of one of the work projects that she is heavily involved in. This means she is often travelling to client meetings (over 200 miles away), with overnight stays, playing a pivotal role in these meetings as well as having to manage her college workload.
She has been fantastic at contributing ideas such as to our website development, social media strategy, and digital marketing offer.
She is especially dedicated to the training sessions she attends with Baltic and (ever the competitor) is always striving to exceed expectations.
She had a fantastic result in her exam last month and we’re very proud of her!
ADAM PATTERSON FROM ITPS
Adam is mature in his outlook. Extremely focused on giving his all to the role.
He is keen to learn, and understand how and why things work as they do. When teaching him, it is clear he is listening to every word, and critically analysing, and weighing up the material. He collates of this together, and looks to apply what he has learnt to this work. Asking questions, and having real appreciation and seeking full mastery of his subject.
It is really great to see such passion in an apprentice. He plans his work well, and takes his course work extremely seriously. He is massively bright, and wants to achieve the highest possible marks across the board. This is something, I am proud of and want to do everything I can to ensure, he get the most out of his opportunity.
He has this level of intelligence, with a thirst to learn, but is pleasant to deal with. Very much a team player. He is not afraid of hard graft. He earn’s his place at the table. We need to keep challenged, and I have no doubt that he will be a high achiever within our company, and will go fair. Extremely proud and pleased to have Adam on my team. One word: Outstanding.
JOSEPH HAYES FROM SERCO
Joseph Hayes has excelled in his role as a desktop technician apprentice. The moment that Joe stepped through the doors he has shown many key skills and elements which will excel him in his career and lead him to many successes. Joe has shown elements of independence by completing jobs that have been raised the second that they have been assigned to him without a second thought. Doing this shows that Joe has the confidence not just in himself but also he trusts that his own knowledge will lead to the jobs completion.
Usually the normal new apprentice process involves months of shadowing, but due to how eager and keen Joe has been to show his skills he has excelled in his ability to complete tasks after only being with the company for just 2 months. One particular element that has shocked everybody in the office is how Joe has never shied away from difficult tasks issues that he has never encountered before and he has been very interested in how to fix the same issues in the future. Having somebody like Joe in the office with such a devoted attitude has really highlighted his capabilities to progress to a very high level.
Lastly, Joe has balanced his work and his apprenticeship coursework skills in a very professional manner. Joe has dedicated very specific office hours so he can concentrate on his coursework and his communication with me to ensure that I knew what he was doing was very adept. After receiving feedback for his first assignment me and Chris Mitchell, his assessor, are very proud of the work that Joe has done so far.
JADE WHILLIS FROM EDUPRISE
I'd like to nominate Jade Whillis for Apprentice of the Month for her consistently outstanding contributions at Eduprise.
All staff agree that Jade consistently performs well above and beyond expectations in delivering high-quality work that is loved by our clients. Jade is an asset to the team and her work as a digital marketing apprentice has become instrumental in the delivery of marketing campaigns for our customers.
Jade has been involved in major campaigns, always showing an interest and playing an important role in producing professional assets that help our clients achieve their strategic goals. Jade also takes pride in producing designs that are used to raise the profile of Eduprise.
Jade's positive, can-do attitude is a credit to her professionalism and her ability to take on tasks at a swift pace. It has been a pleasure to see Jade's skills develop since she joined Eduprise.
BILLY HAYES FROM THE PRIVATE OFFICE
Billy has been a great asset to the IT Service Desk here at The Private Office so far. He has taken on board all of his training and is getting fully involved in the team by taking ownership of the IT Service Desk. He has achieved distinctions for all his modules at Baltic Training so far which, coupled with his workload at The Private Office, is a massive achievement.
Billy can always be relied on to complete his tasks and performs professionally at all times. He is well respected within the company and is seen as the go to person for any IT related issues. Although his primary role is internal support, he regularly supports our client facing meetings and has been commended on a number of occasions for his presentation and knowledge. He often goes out of his way to help out even if it isn’t part of his remit and is appreciated in the business for this.
Thank you Billy for the amazing part you bring to the team, and well done on your amazing result so far. Keep up the good work!
Since joining the Internal IT team at Partnerize in October last year Jeevan has firmly established himself as a dependable, well respected member of the department.
He has taken an independent, reliable approach to all the tasks he has been assigned including:
As well as Jeevan’s day-to-day work, he has also made time for his studies. In his spare time, including his own lunch break on occasion, Jeevan can usually be found at his desk working though practice exams or going through notes he has taken during a training session.
Jeevan has demonstrated a level of maturity and good humour well beyond his years and as a result is very highly thought of by everyone at Partnerize.
We firmly believe that for all the reasons above Jeevan deserves recognition as Apprentice of the Month.
