[Employers, learner]

The last few weeks have left many organisations with the primary focus of adapting to the new normal, as new priorities arise with each news briefing.

However, this hectic phase will pass - and soon organisations will start to look to the future, and begin to plan ways to thrive in the long term. When this moment arrives, we're ready to help you realise your staff development goals.

As we look to the future, we've been planning an exciting send-off for our Level 4 framework programmes, creating a package with extra courses which could be ideal CPD for existing employees, including those on furlough.

The last date for new starts on our level 4 framework Digital Marketing and IT Professional programmes is 31st July 2020. These flexible, higher level apprenticeship programmes could provide focus, motivation, and industry-recognised qualifications to help offset workforce disruption caused by COVID-19.

Why the deadline for these programmes?

From 2016 onwards, the Government planned to replace the older style "framework" apprenticeship programmes with their new "standards" approach by the start of the 2020/2021 academic year.

Most of the programmes we offer already use the standards system, but for two of these courses (Level 4 Digital Marketing and Level 4 IT Professional), the new national standards have not yet been released. This means that there may not be a Level 4 training route in these subjects for some time after the framework programmes are withdrawn.

If you're interested in enrolling an apprentice on either of these popular higher apprenticeship programmes, you still have time! We're accepting new starts right up until the withdrawal deadline, so it's not too late.

Which Courses Are available?

Baltic Apprenticeships are here to support your training and development needs during the Coronavirus crisis. Our courses are delivered through our interactive SMART Classroom, meaning you can do the training from anywhere with an internet connection, whether that be the office or from home.

We offer two Level 4 framework qualifications, with bonus courses in specialist tools and software to take your learning to new heights:

Digital Marketing Higher

This level 4 programme gives learners a deeper understanding of digital marketing and its current methodology, practice and tools. If you’ve got any digital marketing apprentices who have finished or are coming to the end of their level 3 apprenticeship, this programme could be an effective way for them to continue their learning. Alternatively, the programme is also suitable for marketing professionals who want to build their skills with an industry relevant qualification.

For learners enrolling onto the Digital Marketing Level 4 programme with Baltic, we're also offering an additional Google Analytics course, which can be a real asset for marketing strategists.

IT Professional Higher

This higher framework prepares apprentices for project management and IT systems development. We’ve seen many IT apprentices benefit from progressing onto this programme, as it gives them the confidence to take on greater responsibilities in the workplace. Much like the Digital Marketing programme, it’s suitable as both a progression route for apprentices or for training existing members of staff.

We’ve also upgraded this course by offering each learner a supplementary Microsoft Server or Azure bundle! The bundles will include; online video lectures, study guides, sample exam questions and an official exam voucher.

There are various courses to choose from, including;

  • Installation, Storage and Compute with Windows Server 2016
  • Networking with Windows Server 2016
  • Identity with Windows Server 2016
  • Azure Administrator
  • Architect (Technologies)
  • Architect (Design)
