Course Summary

Our Level 4 Marketing Executive apprenticeship provides a comprehensive training programme for junior marketing professionals looking to build new skills, broaden their understanding, and grasp the theory underpinning effective marketing strategies.

The programme is suitable for individuals working in an existing marketing role under the supervision of a marketing manager, such as a marketing officer or executive. It is an excellent progression route for learners who have completed their Level 3 Digital Marketing apprenticeship.

Through a combination of technical training and practical workplace projects, you will gain knowledge and skills across six key areas: marketing campaigns; communication; service delivery; budget management; evaluation & analysis; and marketing systems & processes.

This apprenticeship is designed to meet the requirements for registration as an Affiliate Member with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

Smart Classroom

MODULE 1
Marketing Concepts & Theories

This module is designed to build up a strong understanding of the core concepts that drive marketing activity. We will cover the concepts of brand management & positioning, the marketing mix, and stakeholder management.

Throughout this interactive technical training unit, you will be encouraged to dive into these core concepts and apply them to their current role.

This course is delivered over one week, via the SMART Classroom.

MODULE 2
Business Understanding & Commercial Awareness

This module focuses on how marketing can help fulfil business objectives - deepening your understanding of the role marketing plays within your organisation and industry.

The course will also help you build your understanding of target audiences, the buyer decision process, and how marketing activity can be tailored to align with ideal audiences. We will also explore the sector-specific legal, regulatory and compliance frameworks within which professional marketers are expected to operate.

This course is delivered over one week, via the SMART Classroom.

MODULE 3
Market Research

This course covers the principles behind effective market research and how this influences marketing activity.

You will develop your skills in a range of market research techniques, including the use of data to evaluate outcomes from specific campaigns. Training will include valid data collection sources, methodologies and usage, and explore when to use quantitative and qualitative methods for maximum impact.

This course is delivered over one week, via the SMART Classroom.

MODULE 4
Products & Channels

This module explores the features and benefits of digital and offline communication channels, including how and when these could be used for marketing activity. More broadly, this unit also covers routes to market and the key principles of product or service development.

Throughout this training block, you will grow your understanding of the modern marketing landscape, building up a well-rounded skills and knowledge portfolio.

MODULE 5
EPA Prep

The End Point Assessment, or EPA is the final culmination of everything you have learned throughout your programme. The EPA consists of an exam, the completion of a work-based project, a presentation and a professional discussion. To help you enter the EPA process with the skills and confidence to succeed, our training team will conduct specialised training on all elements of this assessment.

This course is delivered over one week, via the SMART Classroom.

WORKPLACE PROJECTS

Workplace Projects are designed to embed the knowledge, skills & behaviours required by the Apprenticeship Standard. Each project will be set by a Baltic Learning Mentor, in collaboration with the Learner, taking into consideration their job role and business needs.

These projects will form your overall evidence portfolio for assessment. There are seven workplace projects in total, including:

Our apprentices come together from all over the country and work together in the smart learning environment, interacting, communicating and engaging with the best technical trainers in IT, Software and Digital Marketing. Our SMART Classrooms are technology enhanced, cloud-based classrooms that deliver training by integrating learning technology.
