  • Collecting and Compiling Data
  • Data Migration
  • Data Manipulation
  • Data Analysis Security
  • Data Quality
  • Performing Queries
  • Analytical Tools & Techniques
  • Statistical Analysis
  • Reporting Data
  • Presenting Data
MODULE 1
DATA ANALYSIS CONCEPTS

This module will provide a solid foundation in the core concepts of data analysis. We will cover types of data, the data lifecycle, handling structured and unstructured data, data quality, and core data analysis tasks.

This module is designed to ensure all learners have a firm understanding of the key concepts that we will build upon throughout the programme. This foundation will enable learners to recognise industry best practice, acquire new skills more quickly and apply appropriate data analysis tools and techniques to their current work projects.

This unit is delivered over two separate weeks, via the SMART Classroom, followed by an exam.

MODULE 2
DATA ANALYSIS TOOLS

This module provides a deep dive into data analysis tools and techniques.

We will cover everything from data integration and preparation to programming languages for statistical analysis and making the most of proprietary software tools for data analysis.

Learners will develop their understanding of preparing, processing and manipulating data and conducting analysis projects using industry-standard tools and techniques.

Our hands-on technical training will provide the opportunity to learn, practice, and troubleshoot advanced data analysis techniques.

This unit is delivered over two separate weeks, via the SMART Classroom, followed by an exam.

MODULE 3
IMPLEMENTING DATA ANALYSIS CONCEPTS & TOOLS

Taking the theory from the previous training units, course participants will implement what they have learned, applying their new skills to a detailed Data Analysis project. This instructor-led course helps learners to put their theory into practice, refine their technique, and improve their understanding ahead of the Synoptic Project stage of their final assessment.

This unit takes place over one week.

ADDED EXTRA
ADDITIONAL VENDOR QUALIFICATION

As an added extra, apprentices can choose to complete one of the following vendor qualifications:

  • Microsoft DP-201: Designing an Azure Data Solution

  • Microsoft DP-100: Designing and Implementing a Data Science Solution on Azure

  • Microsoft DP-200: Implementing an Azure Data Solution

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
  • Level 2 - Maths
  • Level 2 - English

Learners who require Functional Skills will be supported via SMART Classroom, support sessions will last half a day each. Exams will be held in a local test centre.

END POINT ASSESSMENT

The End Point Assessment is completed in the last few months of the apprenticeship. It includes an Employer Reference, Summative Portfolio, Synoptic Project and an Interview.
